Desert Bike
The first thing that I always get asked is “Is that your bike?” I have to admit that it is not. The bike belongs to a fisherman sat just behind me while I took this photo. He was fishing from the cliff tops on this amazing piece of coastline.
The bike is a CZ an old Czech made bike dating from about the 1960’s. It has certainly travelled some miles to get to its current home.
You may not believe it but this desert is full of life and is due solely to the rich waters of the Pacific Ocean which border it. Fed by the cold Humboldt current the sea teems with life. This is the only place in the world where you can see penguins living in the desert!
